Vance Crowder, 77 of Kingman, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in Lee Alan Bryant Healthcare Facility east of Rockville. Mr. Crowder was a retired construction operator and an Army veteran. He was born Aug 23 1922 in Parke County, to George Wiley and Emma Catherine Dowden Crowder. His wife Ellen died March 18 1977. Survivors include three brothers, Gerald, Forest,, and Ernest, ;and two sisters, June Cupps, and Geridene Riddle. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in Gooch Funeral Home, 112 Howard St., Rockville, with the Rev. Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. today in the funeral home and before services Thursday.
